Getting a tintype is a pretty painless process - while seeing tintypes from the 1800’s with folks look real dour and serious may make it look like an arduous affiar, it’s actually pretty easy. On a bright, sunny day the exposure time usually takes just a few seconds (if that) and with powerful flahses an indoor shot can happen nearly instantly.
Once the picture is taken, it can be developed either on site or back in my darkroom. After the emulsion is dried and varnished, you’ll have a picture that will last at least a lifetime (and maybe a few more).
